I just learned about another nonprofit in the US, in RI. Here's the blurb from their web site:
Project AIDS Khmer is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support and enhance the health and well being of families, children and communities in Cambodia. By working at the community level, we support programs to build capacity for healthcare, health promotion, and education, with a special emphasis on AIDS and other health problems.
PAK was founded for humanitarian purposes as a collaboration between the Cambodian community of Rhode Island, USA, and a dedicated group of committed individuals in Cambodia. Currently, the staff who work for PAK both in the United States and in Cambodia are mainly volunteers.
We are a committed group of individuals wishing to raise awareness, funds and resources to help Cambodian people to mobilize their fight against HIV/AIDS and other health problems. It is the goal of PAK to strengthen its capacity to carry out needed projects in underserved communities in provincial areas of Cambodia. The initial focus of our activities has been in Takeo province.
I like their household garden project.
Can't open the site.
