Some random browsing tonight and I have a new Cambodia blog "Forever in Transit" written by pr who is living in Texas, but originally from Cambodia. Welcome! I look forward to reading you!
The source of inspiration for starting his blog?
Finally, I have to admit that my decision to put down my thoughts in a blog to share with the world was influenced by the recent well publicized blogs coming out of, about, and/or relating to Cambodia. The spotlights on blogging in Cambodia lead me to searching out and reading more blogs than ever, especially ones relating to Cambodia. I found that there are many excellent blogs relating to Cambodia by Khmers and expats. I enjoyed reading them so much that I want to be a part of this blogosphere. I was also inspired by the blogs and begin to feel that I too can do it. So here I am. Signed up, set up, picked a title, and somewhat focused and psyched up about what I'm about to do.
He is also a poet and you can tell that a bit by some of his posts, especially this one called: Cambodia, A Journey.
Many people have inspiration to create website or blog after visiting Cambodia. Vacation in Cambodia is not only for see, fun and relax, but see, fun, relax (though hard to relax when so many temples, so little time), and TELL. Once you see the smiles, you can’t help but take another picture. Once you hear the story, you can’t help but moved. Once you see the graves, you can’t help but cry. Once you see a temple, you will feel like climbing another. Once you see the suffering and poverty, you will be changed. Once you see Angkor, you can’t help but tell others to look at it too. Once you’ve been to Cambodia, you can’t help but care. Once you come back, you can’t help but create a website to tell your journey.
Beth,
I love your website. What a great source of information your website is. And your love for Cambodia is infectious.
Thank you.
