I've added this counter from E-khmer site to my this blog and "Typing to Learn" khmer blog to help learn the numbers .... Is there a song they teach in Khmer schools to help the kids learn numbers? If so, is there a mp3 file of it?

Yes there is! It's like the ABC song almost, 'Ga Ka Go Kho' etc.
We'll just have to tape it some time. I wonder if the Southeast Asian Summer Studies Institute would have it as a part of their materials.
Their teacher, Frank Smith has fun using pop culture to entice foreigners to learn. He used to have a web site where he retailed his textbooks, I should email him and see if it's still up.
Of course, his teaching CDs have been bootlegged in Phnom Penh, on sale at CD World!
