The 6th annual Craigslist Foundation's Nonprofit Boot Camp takes place on June 20th in Berkeley, CA. The day includes workshops, one-on-one coaching sessions, and keynotes by Arianna Huffington, Randi Zuckerberg and Craig Newmark.
For years, I've been wanting to attend and this year, finally, I am! And, I'm leading a workshop on social media strategy. My colleagues, Britt Bravo and Eric Leland are also facilitating a workshop about getting started with social media and Peter Deitz is talking about future technology. And, the content is not all social media. Organized around the theme "connect, motivate and inspire greater community impact," you will find a schedule and speakers with expertise on evaluation, governance, management, strategic planning and more! There is also ample time for networking.
You can read the full description here and check out the schedule and speakers. The registration is only $75 and you sign up to attend here.
See you there!
Beth,
This is somewhat off topic, but your the pro who is getting ready to lead a workshop so here it goes...
I work for $40 million relief non-profit and we are just launching a Fanpage and a Twitter account. For the next few months on just about a weekly basis we will have training meetings with separate crowds of 700-1500. We plan you invite people to follow us on twitter via text and know how. However, we read in one of your posts that the same option is available for Fanpages...we can't figure it out. Mashable posted a confusing article about it that so far hasn't worked out for us.
The challenge to the pro: help us find out how to allow people to become fans of our fanpage via text.
The prize: more jewels on your crown.
Thanks!
