In five days, I will be making a major change in my life. My family and I will be moving out the home my husband and I lived in for over twenty years and we will relocate to the Bay Area. This is culmination of a lot of hard work over the past year - to sell our house, downsize our belongings, find a great place to live with a good school for the kids, and all the other logistic details.
I've been both excited beyond words ...I'm starting a new chapter in my life. But, moving can be a little chaotic - like you can't find anything! You have rewired all those neurons because everything has changed. It's great energy - but it requires a lot of attention.
Oh my god, how am I ever going to keep up my regular blogging schedule? I could let the blog go dark for a couple of weeks or I could rehash old content, like the "Best of the Beth." What I did was turn to my friends. I thought this would be a win/win -- I get to reduce some stress and my friends get share some of the great content about nonprofits and social media while I'm gone.
Well, honestly, I won't be gone completely - after all I'm flying out on Virgin America - with a cello (I plan to video blog that) and wifi (I'll twitter ..), but I didn't want sole pressure of publishing each day. I will be active in the comments.

I remember when I was a guess blogger on Netsquared early on - it was an amazing experience. So, hope this is fun for those who have signed up to help me make it through this transition.
Otherwise, expect to read some new voices and see some new faces. I'll be here, in the comments and on Twitter .. and, I might sneak in a post or two, but no promises.
Wish me luck!
Great idea Beth. I'm sure you'll have a great cast to support you while your getting situated.
I'm in SD so we'll have to meet at a Tweetup some time. I'm sure there will be some SoCal events going on.

It takes a lot of courage, moving the family cross country...you will be missed in MA. One of my first introductions to social media was a presentation by you. Good luck to you and your family on your new adventure!!

Beth, I know how moving can be a lot of work. I moved form Florida to DC recently and I had to take a week off form work just to recuperate :) I'll be delighted to write an entry for your blog page. I help out a non-profit dog rescue organization called Lizzy's Lodge and I do their social media marketing. I'm sure I can come up with something :)

Good luck with your move, Beth. My wife and I will also be moving this summer, but are staying in the same area (Westchester, NY).
Regards, Norman
