Hey Beth,

Did you meet Chris Parandian, of MobileFutures, at NTC? He's been loving the N95 and can provide guidance. let me know if you need his contact info.

What data plan and provider did you lock into? That's my concern; they're so expensive.

Hey Beth -- did you buy it from Nokia or elsewhere?

If elsewhere, you might want to check your firmware version. Because you will have to update firmware at some point -- and it was the firmware update that bricked my N95. Nokia wouldn't guarantee that they would repair or replace my N95 because I didn't buy it from them, their turnaround time seemed kind of long, and I only had 30 days to return the phone to Amazon for a full refund.

So if you want to make sure you don't get stuck with a nonrefundable brick, you might want to cross your fingers and run your firmware update now if your firmware isn't totally up to date. You might have better luck than I did -- but if not, at least you can get a refund.

If you bought it through Nokia, however, this is less of a concern because they will repair or replace it for free if they sold it to you.
