Ed Schipul is a colleague from the NetSquared Community that I have had the pleasure of knowing for two years now. I have the honor of joining his SWSX Panel in March about nonprofits, social media, and social good. He was one of 81 people who donated to my campaign to send two young Cambodians to college last October.
Three weeks ago he asked me to sponsor him in "Mustaches for Kids -Houston." I did. The fundraiser is where group of volunteers grew mustaches and asked their friends to support the charity, the Texas Children's Hospital Center.
He just emailed me to let me know that the groups raised was able to raise $7805.25 in its inaugural year! Congratulations Ed!
Thanks for the contribution and post Beth!
A huge kudos to Jason (http://www.lowendtheory.net/) who coordinated Houston's M4K efforts. 7800 is awesome for the first year in my opinion.
Yet I would be remiss if I didn't mention M4K Chicago (http://www.m4kchicago.org/). You see Chicago challenged us, and the last I heard was they raised over 20K! Now that is some seriously determined folicular effort.
