Denith, a Cambodian Blogger
I'm on Day 3 of participating in the America's Giving Challenge. My goals are to raise money for the Sharing Foundation, share stories about the Sharing Foundation and its supporters, and share what I'm learning about using these news to raise money as an extra organizational activist on my blog over the course of the 50-day giving challenge.
Story
Over the summer, I taught Web2.0 and video blogging at the Cambodian Bloggers Summit in Cambodia. That's where I met Denith, a university student majoring in business and blogger. He just celebrated his 20th Birthday. We're Facebook friends so I invited him to join the Sharing Foundation cause. He joined the cause and told me, "My pleasure to help you. But I don't have a credit card. Cambodian people don't have credit cards.
I admire the Sharing Foundation's effort to restore and retain hopes for Cambodian children." And that is totally awesome, even if they can't donate .. their endorsement of the Sharing Foundation's work is very important!
