The internet and social networking software presents a great platform to build community and gain support for causes. I imagine that the Cambodian reaction to the situation in Burma comes from the larger hactivism movement that has established itself across the web over the past several years. I wrote a post about this yesterday and am happy to see the global influence reaching people like you and me, and our friends in Cambodia.

Good to see Cambodian youth sporting their red shirts. Unfortunately, DC isn't so active at the moment, as I'm one of a handful wearing red today. Sad, sad, sad -- you'd think DC's politically charged atmosphere would include at least some uproar over the situation!
