Thanks for this, Beth! FYI: Dr. Connie M. Yowell will be keynoting this year's SLCC Educator's Workshop.

See the Blog post on the topic.

She is Director of Education in the MacArthur Foundation’s Program on Human and Community Development, focusing on grants relating to public education, and on the implications for education of young people’s use of digital media. “The MacArthur Foundation launched its five-year, $50 million digital media and learning initiative in 2006 to help determine how digital technologies are changing the way young people learn, play, socialize, and participate in civic life.”

Beth, you are the best! i got a great shot of you snapping pics. ;-)

Connie impressed me on the panel at Games4Change; you'll really enjoy her at SLCC! Very sad to be missing you all there but I may look to participate remotely from the desert. We're organizing the green man pavilion under the man at Burning Man, 30,000 sq. ft. of RL environment envisioning and installations from many of the worlds best sci/tech artists. Very tempted to bring SLCC there....what better collaborate art form?
