I've been doing more and more presentations that are dependent on having Internet access and I've learned over the years, to always have a backup. I'm glad I went to the trouble of having a backup plan, particularly for
the Screencasting Session at NTC which include showing some screencast. What I did was download local copies.
Michael Stein (East Coast), who attended the session, emailed me today and asked how I managed to download the screencasts on YouTube. The secret is KISS and thanks to Amit, you can find out all aobut it here.
This is a completely awesome hack! I'd just been wondering today how I could do this, which is frankly, kind of weird. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Beth. Just what I was looking for. Also, users tying this should note that you may need an FLV standalone player. I downloaded one that the KissYouTube site recommends and it works like a charm.

If you are a publisher of video and want to make it even easier for people to remix your work - check out blip.tv which has the ability to upload multiple editable formats (ie mac and PC friendly).
Makes it very easy for people to remix your content.
(try fang.blip.tv if you want to mashup some of my goodies)
