Chris Brogan sent me a link to the new NpowerNY/Squido Handout on Seth's Blog. It's call org.2.0! It signals to me that we are beginning to cross the chasm in Web2.0 in nonprofit land. Or maybe not.
Here's the online description: "A one-page cheat sheet with six cool (free) things you can do before the end of the day." I've added some advice in italics which Npower is free to remix since my blog is cc: by license. (Just need the attribution)
1. Put Yourself on Youtube
Be sure to read the user agreement first and understand that are giving away the rights to your content and that you're decreasing the change of being discovered by remixing. If that's your intention - go right ahead. But know there are other video hosts.
2. Get Found on Technorati
Take your rank with a grain of salt. Don't forget to use some other ways to track conversations like co-comment and icerocket.
3. Measure Your Traffic
Yep, google analytics is great. You also might to check out some widgets that combine social networking with stats like mybloglog.com
4. Tap the Blogs
Yep, and you should also learn how to use an RSS reader so you can efficiently monitor those feeds and respond. And here's a good listener's guide.
5. Donations with Squidoo
I'd also take a look at widget fundraising ....
6. Digg it!
And you might want to read this primer first.
It's excellent. What a great addition to the existing document!
