I discovered a new nonprofit technology blog today in the most old-fashioned way - word of mouth! It's called "Today I Cried - Thoughts on Nonprofit Technology." It is written by an IT Manager in NY who works for a social agency. Given that the blogger is describing some of the problems with their organization's technology, it's an anonymous blog. Also, while some of it is funny, I'm not sure I like making fun of less technically savvy users.
Tonight at the technobabes dinner, there was alot of speculation about the blogger's gender. We thought given the title, it must be a woman writing this. While that is still possible, in one of the posts, the blogger mentions a pregnant wife.
We also brainstormed some ideas for bracamp
Update: Deborah Finn has blogged about our TechnoBabes dinner and the gender discussion around this blog as well as . Hmm ... I'm wondering who is reading the TechnoBabe Meta Feed?
We thought given the title, it must be a woman writing this.... oh, for shame, Beth... the sexism we have to put up with.
Anyhow, no-one wants to read "Today I laughed so hard my beer came out my nose..."

Michael:
Thanks for the reminder! I'm laughing so hard my wine ...
John:
Wow, thanks for your kind words. I clicked through to your blog and had a few laughs myself. I'm enjoying your sense of humor - keep on blogging!

Hi Beth,
Thanks for dropping by and writing the post about my site. You're not the only one that suspected I was a woman. It did surprise me that my gender was being debated. When I say "cried", I hope to mean it in every sense of the word, and sometimes that just means screaming at the top of my lungs. Now that I think about it, I probably need to do that a little bit more.
