I've been invited to be on the Honorary Committee for the Technology in the Arts Conference. The conference will take place in Pittsburgh on October 20-21, 2006. The idea is to bring together a variety of people in the arts sector to examine the commonalities that exist in useful technologies as well as the opportunities for partnership. It's part of the 10th Anniversary for Center for Arts Management (CAMT). CAMT was a partner with the New York Foundation for the Arts for its now defunct Arts Wire program. Arts Wire was a very early online networking community for artists (before the Web and using Unix!) that was launched back in 1992. I was the online community builder for the project and then worked with NYFA for various technology-related projects until 2003.
