Actually, Beth, it's true that Khmers really do not celebrate birthdays (especially in Cambodia). A few do to be "westernized". Even in America, my family doesn't celebrate birthdays. But happy birthday to you!

I myself never celebrated my birthday, too - and never cared about it until I moved to Vietnam. About 5 years here(VN), I celebrated (hosted by my friends) only one time.
