Inspiration from Khmer Software Initiative

Mekhala_sm

AdvocacyDev II Convergence took place on July 13/14 in the Bay Area and according to Tim Bishop, a most inspiring presentation on a localization project was given during the Speed Geeking Sessions by  Hok Kakada from Open Forum of Cambodia.  She demonstrated Drupal, Open Office, Firefox, and Thunderbird, all running in Khmer, and mentioned that her team had translated over 30,000 strings.   Tim points out the level of artistry in the localization, including the fact that they replaced the default Firefox icon with a culturally appropriate and gorgeous graphic of Mekhala bringing light to the world showed the attention to detail.

Tim couldn't find a way to make a donation to the project.   Tharum or others, where's the make a donation page? How can folks in the US who want to support your project help?
