Blog Action Day: Make A Comment and Raise A $1 for Capital Area Food Bank
Next Monday, I'm leading a workshop on social media at the Share Our Strength Leaders Conference in Washington, DC. On Sunday, I'm participating in a Day of Service along with almost 200 conference participants at two of their partner sites, the Capital Area Food Bank and
Friendship Public Charter School - both organizations address hunger and poverty issues. The Day of Service, sponsored by Tyson Foods, will be an opportunity for conference to give back to organizations in the host community.
We're going to be documenting the event with social media tools and I'll be sharing with workshop participants what we did and how we did it as part of the social media introduction.
As you know, it is Blog Action Day - and I just saw that Pundit Mom launched a "make a comment on this blog and I'll donate $1 to Capital Area Food Bank". So, I'm off to leave a comment.
