Twitter Landing Pages

I just finished reading "Does your blog have a Twitter landing page?" by Mack Collier where he describes what a Twitter Landing Page.  He examines the concept of Twitter Landing Pages and how one of Twitter's power users Laura Fitton, who is known on Twitter as Pistachio as designed hers. I was inspired to create one

My blog already has a landing page - maryanndevine.typepad.com takes you to the landing page, rather than my latest post. I took this idea from Seth Godin, who noted that first-time visitors to your blog may not find your latest post relevant to their interests, but if they got a clearer look at who you are, they may read on.

My landing page isn't perfect and I'm in the process of rewriting it. My question is, do you need a twitter-specific landing page?
