Susan Tenby, TechSoup, Speaks Before Congress About Virtual Worlds

 

TechSoup's Susan Tenby, Senor Manager--Online Community Development , gave a prepared testimony before the the House Committee on Energy and Commerce's Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet on April 1st about the potential of Second Life for nonprofits. Her testimony was part of today's hearing: "Online Virtual Worlds: Applications and Avatars in a User-Generated Medium".  Transcript and video here.

Awesome fine. I would have missed this. How are you doing with SL? I thought about doing a campaign on there with a friend of mine. Hope all is well.

I wrote about the testimony for SLNN.COM.

I didn't cover the non profit side very much, however.

On the other hand I think I touched on the issues a lot more than Dana Milbank did in the Washington Post, and I wrote this comment about the WaPo coverage.
