Slides and Notes from Meyer Memorial Trust Nonprofits and Social Networks KeyNote

Here's the slides from the presentation.  Thanks to Mazarine Treyz! for taking great notes!

The rest of the day was a small group exercise where folks were given a nonprofit scenario and asked to work on a social networking strategy, outcomes, and discuss metrics.    The report out at the end of the day was amazing .. and I'll some reflections shortly.   Photos here  Notes are also over on the Meyer Memorial Trust wiki.

I finally got an opportunity to meet John Smith from CPsquared face-to-face!

At the end of the day, we asked people to write on an index card - what one thing they might implement, their email address, and a question.    I will be using these reflections to guide some blog posts on the various topics. After the workshop,  Marie Deatherage and Rev Phil took me on a tour of Freegeek - which was totally awesome.  You won't believe the photos I go - more on that later.

Hey Beth,

Fantastic presentation...isn't Portland a rockin' city? So a search question for you. I'm interested in data that talks about how nonprofit organizations are using social media and web 2.0 to develop information sharing capacities amongst nonprofits and nonprofit professionals. Much of this is outward-facing (orgs to the public) but not as much peer-to-peer within the sector or across sectors.

Thoughts? Keep up the fantastic work,

Fran
