That's a video blog post I did to demonstrate how a simple technique for creating effective videos using your cell phone or digital camera and placing it one the web, in this example, on YouTube. (While the workshop wasn't a handson video workshop, I did something along those lines in Cambodia - the curriculum is here.)
Danielle really expresses the dilemma that I find myself in more and more - how do you straddle the line between an advocate for nonprofits to incorporate social media and throwing some cold water ... That is, it takes more than just throwing up a blog or myspace profile or start twittering to make this work. Also, there may be other priorities to focus on rather than incorporating social media.
Many folks at the workshop wanted access to copies of the slides. They are here and you can download the pdf. What I am finding is that workshop participants need slides with information that can help explain all this to their executive directors and help initiative a conversation. I have a Facebook album with lots of screen captures that might be useful or my social media snack facts screen captures in Flickr.
The report out notes from the small group work is here.

Great workshop in Lexington this week. I had no idea when I signed up that I'd be learning from a rock star of the blogosphere. Definitely took some things away that I hope to use within my organization. And the discussion about being selective and strategic with social media to maximize ROI for our nonprofits (even if it's "just" time, b/c who has enough?) was great. Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much for all of the great information Beth! This event was outstanding. Such many opportunities for nonprofits! At the Nonprofit Leadership Initiative, we are anxious to implement some of these things ourselves and help nonprofits continue to learn what might work for their organizations. Thanks again for bringing your expertise to Kentucky!
