Social Innovation Conversations in an initiative of the Center for Social Innovation at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Social Innovation Conversations is also part of the Conversations Network, an online platform for podcast distribution. It is described as:
The Social Innovation Podcasting Channel is an open and collaborative online platform for cross-sector and multidisciplinary learning for social change.
I've just discovered this series and it is quite good. There are several "shows", including Craig's List Nonprofit Bootcamp (where I discovered an interview with colleague John Kenyon).
Paul Lamb pinged me to let me know about a segment called Nonprofits of the Future where he is interviewed by John Powers and explores how new social web tools are transforming nonprofits. (He mentions the Leng Sopharath Campaign -- he was a contributor) He also talks about Nonprofits and Second Life. He also gives some of his projections for the future.
Paul also shared a ning site he has set up called "Cool 'n Conscientious"
Cool 'n Conscientious focuses on how emerging information technology tools and services can be leveraged to change the world - both the practical and relevant application of technology to address social challenges. CnC is also a social network that encourages community building among social practioners, innovators, and dreamers. You don't have to be cool to join the community, you just need to come with an open mind, an open heart, and a desire to make a difference...byte by byte!
At first, I was to scream - oh no not another social networking platform! But as Paul pointed out in an email he thinks that ning has come close to integrated conversational media into a blog like platform.
