A few Second Life Tidbits

Alexandra Samuel from Social Signals starts off 2007 with several announcements related to Second Life - the addition of a virtual worlds manager and an Open house in Second Life later on today.  There is also a post titled "Seven Reasons Why You Should Consider Second Life."

Meanwhile, Clay Shirky, vocal critic of virtual worlds, in general, and Second Life, in particular, writes a follow up post blasting Linden Labs for the hype around their numbers and others speculate about the media backlash for 2007. (The first post, prompted much discussion amongst librarians and educator using Second Life and as well as disagreement from some in the business press.)
