I came across a study by the American Academy of Pediatrics that argues for the essential role of play in the healthy mental, physical, and social/emotional development of a child referred to in a recent editorial in the Boston Globe titled "The Hidden Power of Play" and elsewhere.
Some points made that I totally endorse for both children AND adults:
- Through play we adapt the world to ourselves and create new learning experiences.
- Although work and play are thought to be in opposition to one another, they in fact complement each other.
- Play is the answer to the question, "How does anything new come about?"
So, with that said I am not going censor my urge to play with tools that play with the flickr API.
The above example came from Museumr
If you want to talk about nonprofits and flickr - and do a little playing too - come join the affinity group over at NTEN called "Flickr for Nonprofits"

Once again, our stories overlap! Thanks for the intro to the new toy, I had fun. Keep pointing out other fun ones.
